Dear Media currently looking for a motivated, dedicated, and detail-oriented individual for our

Finance Coordinator position to support a growing Finance Team an interest to work in the podcast and digital space. The primary focus of this position is to provide support to the Finance team by assisting with billing/invoicing, month-end close, AR outreach with brands, talent payments, and payroll.  The role is vital to the day-to-day operations of Dear Media.


  • Create and send invoices based on revenue recognition policy and following GAAP
  • Manage contract database and update with necessary corrections and changes
  • Heavy A/R duties include cash application, maintaining deposit records, collections and follow-up
  • Process talent payments and commission reconciliations
  • Assist in month-end close and financial reporting
  • Create journal entries and update supporting schedules for month-end close
  • Allocate credit card expenses to appropriate accounts based on employee trackers and analyze transactions to identify and resolve variances
  • Assist in updating payroll system to support bi-weekly payroll cycles, i.e. time cards, registers, etc.
  • Manage talent inquiries by working with various teams to provide comprehensive responses

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting/finance
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll
  • Proven proficiency and experience in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and Excel
  • General accounting knowledge – G/L, A/P, A/R, invoicing, and bank reconciliations


  • Strong communication and collaborative skills

  • Extensive experience with data entry and record keeping
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience with QuickBase, a plus
  • Experience with Paylocity, a plus
