The drama aboard Virgin Voyages on The Real Housewives of Miami delivered exactly what Bravo fans wanted: spectacle, tension, and a rare pause in the fighting. While the luxury setting felt like a commercial for Richard Branson’s cruise line, the real headline moment was Lisa Hochstein and Larsa Pippen finally attempting to put their feud to rest.

On Comments by Celebs, Emma Diamond and Isabel Greenberg turned their attention to this fragile peace. As they dissected every layer of Lisa and Larsa’s complicated friendship, they made it clear that while the truce is welcome, no one should mistake it for permanent.

Diamond sets the tone: “I’m not going to pretend like I feel so confident that this truce will be sustained because who knows? But I was happy to watch it go down in this way.”

She explains that their constant fighting wasn’t just exhausting for the group of women—it also wore down the audience. As she points out, “Everything became about that. So even if this doesn’t really last, it’s kind of nice to have a breather.”

Why the Lisa and Larsa feud took center stage

Greenberg picks up on the same theme, noting how the constant arguments drained the group’s energy. “They were already exhausted by this and didn’t necessarily have the energy to keep it up because again, it’s over things that are so done with,” she says.

Both women are famously stubborn, and that stubbornness kept the cycle going. But with some nudging from the rest of the cast, they finally admitted the obvious: This fight had to end.

What makes the reconciliation fascinating is how it stayed true to their personalities. Lisa’s move to unfollow Marcus Jordan—and Larsa herself—on Instagram captured her pettiness. Greenberg laughs about Lisa’s approach, pointing out that she “is being petty as fuck, saying, yes, I unfollowed Marcus per your wishes, but I also unfollowed you, so I’ll refollow you.”

Pippen, meanwhile, tried to meet in the middle by offering to drop the paparazzi accusations that fueled their tensions. In Diamond’s words, “One thing about them, they are very much consistently themselves.”

The weight of history between Lisa and Larsa

Even with all the backbiting, Lisa and Larsa aren’t just costars thrown together by Bravo—they have a long friendship. Diamond reflects, “Because of how low they have both gone and because of how nasty it’s been, it’s really easy to kind of forget about the history they do have.”

That history is part of what makes their conflict so painful—and so compelling on screen. “I do think on some level they really care about each other,” Diamond adds, “which is so strange to say for two people that have been nothing but cruel to each other for a while now.”

This duality—care wrapped in cruelty—is the very essence of The Real Housewives of Miami.

The Jody factor in shifting alliances

Of course, no Housewives feud exists in a vacuum. Lisa’s relationship with Jody Glidden hovers over everything, and Diamond calls it “unavoidable.” The hosts discuss how his presence has changed the group’s dynamics, noting how Larsa immediately detects when he influences Lisa’s choices.

Far from seeing it as controlling, Diamond believes Lisa welcomes it: “She needs a person to help her and to bounce things off of and to sort of give her direction both in life and in business.” Still, that dependency has become a wedge, since Pippen doesn’t get along with Jody. As Greenberg points out, “Lisa not only acknowledges them, but is still dating him to this day and getting more and more serious.”

Why this storyline matters

At its core, the Lisa–Larsa saga reflects the complicated bonds that keep audiences invested in The Real Housewives of Miami. They love each other, they fight viciously, and sometimes they even forgive. That messy mix is what keeps the franchise alive.

As Diamond sums it up, watching the two women put down their swords—even temporarily—was a relief. “It was clearly impacting the group dynamic,” she says, “and it was also, I felt like, impacting the viewing experience just having them consistently at their throats.”

The truce may not last, but for now, it gives the rest of the group—and the audience—a much-needed break. In a season where fights stretch across episodes, even a single hug can feel like a victory.
