What if you could manifest the life you want? And what if instead of following a script or doing what you assume you should be doing while manifesting, you just… tune in a little better to your own needs? That’s the entire point behind a genuinely moving conversation on Dear Gabby’s segment called Dear Guides.

Lauren Rainbow, an internationally known psychic, spiritual teacher, sacred travel guide, and medium joined Gabby Bernstein to explore manifesting through the teachings of the late Wayne Dyer. The premise of the episode? You don’t attract what you want; you attract who you are.

Today, we’re walking through Lauren and Gabby’s conversation step by step. We’ll talk about who Lauren is, share the ideas the two bounced back and forth, and explore what the Wayne Dyer method is. Watch below as you read along!

Who Is Lauren Rainbow?

Lauren Rainbow is a psychic medium who helps people connect with their guides and step into their own authentic power. On this episode of Dear Gabby’s Dear Guides segment, she sat down to channel spiritual guidance while she and Gabby revisit Wayne’s teachings on perspectives, attachment, authenticity, self-belief, and expressing what’s inside of you.

Instead of just talking about Wayne’s teachings, they use each point as a way to connect, explore, and discuss what manifestation looks like when you focus on who you want to become rather than what you want to get.

Lauren Rainbow and Gabby Bernstein on Manifesting

Lauren Rainbow and Gabby don’t approach manifesting like you would a vision board; you’re not hoping things just show up or happen. They’re talking about it as a byproduct of authenticity. The more you live like the person you truly want to be, the easier you create a life that actually fits you.

Gabby discusses each of Wayne Dyer’s lessons and what it means as Rainbow channels what she feels Wayne wants to add. What keeps coming through is reassurance. You’re supported, you’re not doing this alone, and the shifts you want? If you’re seriously open to it, they’re backed by spiritual guidance.

One more thing: stay fluid! Lauren keeps using the mental image of water: stay flexible when the world speeds up and stop trying to grip harder to what you can’t control. It’s a gentle antidote to the pressure most of us feel to have everything figured out.

You Don’t Attract What You Want You Attract Who You Are

The Wayne Dyer Manifesting Lessons They Explore

Lauren and Gabby walk through five of Wayne Dyer’s manifesting lessons, and each one works as its own small practice. Here are the core points from the episode:

Changing Your Perspective

The first lesson is the one Dyer might be best known for: when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. Gabby simplifies it a bit by giving us an easy-to-use example: think of how you view the world. Do you believe that the world is friendly or hostile? Whatever your answer, that’s the reality you’ve chosen to experience.

Lauren’s perspective on it feels especially relevant right now. She shares with Gabby, “Change is constant, and it’s fast, and it’s moving at a break-neck speed than I think we’ve ever experienced before.” Nobody is here to make the changes for you; you have to be the one to heal your own perceptions first.

Releasing Attachment

The second lesson is to have a mind that’s open to everything and attached to nothing. Dyer’s image is that your life is a parenthesis in eternity: you came in with nothing, you’ll leave with nothing, so live without expectations.

Lauren expands on this by saying when you let go of expectation, you stop setting yourself up for disappointment and start receiving what’s actually in front of you. She keeps hearing a version of the same promise from Wayne: If you just let go of this outcome you’re so sure of and follow the path designed for you, you’ll realize something better may be out there.

Gabby covers one specific modern obstacle: constant distraction, the in-and-out of our phones, and all of it blocking the very thing we’re trying to call in. Her fix is to create what Dyers calls “space for grace,” and to find it in nature.

Manifesting Lessons From Wayne Dyer

Becoming More Authentic

The third lesson is Gabby’s favorite: you don’t attract what you want, you attract who you are. Or, as Dyer said, we become what we think about.

Rainbow’s take is that now is the time to honor who you actually are, inside and out. She points out that no two people channel or intuit the same way, and we’re each unique. Most importantly? Your job isn’t to follow anyone else’s path, but to let your own spark get brighter.

Both Lauren and Gabby recommend spending more time in your authentic truth. You may be asking, “How do I know what my authentic truth even IS?” Easy! Just find things that make you feel good. For both of them, some of that looks like being in the studio with friends, dancing, moving their bodies, writing, and journaling. The goal isn’t to copy these ideas; it’s to realize that  when you’re in your truth, you’re in alignment, and that’s how you manifest who you truly are instead of what you don’t want.

Believing in Yourself

The fourth lesson flips a phrase most of us have backwards: you’ll see it when you believe it. And while you listen to the episode, you’ll actually come to learn that Dyer had to fight his publisher over that title because they were sure he’d gotten it wrong.

Lauren circles the conversation back to the heart. When she asked Wayne what people are supposed to believe in with so much misinformation out there, the message he gave her was simple: “The only thing to believe in is your heart and trusting what your heart feels is true for you.” In other words, ask yourself what makes you feel good, seen, heard, and powerful. Start leaning into those signals and the belief follows.

Expressing the Music Inside You

The final lesson is the one that made both of them emotional: don’t die with your music still in you. Dyer’s belief is that if you’re wondering what your purpose is, that wondering is literally your purpose trying to reconnect with you.

Rainbow describes your “music” as the full-bodied expression of who you are, and she isn’t talking about your job or your accomplishments. It might come through creative work, or being with children, or movement, or deep stillness, or purpose-driven work in the world.

The point is to stop searching and start living. And stop worrying how it will be received! Whoever needs to hear your song will find it. Whether that’s a huge audience or a single person, no audience is too big or too small.

How to Live More Fully in the Present

Strip away the deeper points of the conversations between Lauren and Gabby and you get practical takeaways about living in the present. That includes:

  • Trust your inner truth. When you can’t figure out what to believe, come back to your heart and ask what feels true for you right now. Don’t try and figure out what anyone else says it should be.
  • Reconnect with joy. Follow the joy in your heart, since what lights you up is unique to you. Also, let yourself do the small things (a comedy that makes you laugh, a walk, a dance) without the guilt.
  • Recognize your own power. Gabby says that we’re all leaders in our own right, and we have the power to shift the energy. The calmer, more joyful frequency you live at has a ripple effect.

Rainbow’s advice is to keep it simple and start small. When you feel numb or stuck, one tiny move can change the whole direction of the journey. You don’t have to solve the future today; you just have to be intentional.

Who Was Wayne Dyer?

Wayne Dyer was an influential self-help author and speaker, often called the godfather of manifesting, who wrote books and shaped a generation of spiritual thinking before his passing.

Gabby considers him a friend and mentor, which is exactly why she wanted to build a whole episode around his teachings. Having his ideas filtered through both Gabby’s interpretation and Rainbow’s channeling gives us a perspective that a book summary alone could never.
