Miranda Kerr Reveals Her Modern Approach to Co-Parenting and Family Life on ‘Conversations With Cam’
Bernadette Giacomazzo
On Conversations with Cam, hosted by Cameron Rogers, Miranda Kerr reveals that her proudest roles are not just supermodel or beauty founder—they’re mom, co-parent, and wellness advocate.
Kerr’s life today looks different than the fast-paced world of fashion shows and photo shoots that made her famous. As the founder of Kora Organics and the mother of four boys, she has carved out a lifestyle rooted in balance, harmony, and intention. For anyone who has juggled work, wellness, and family, Kerr’s perspective is deeply relatable and reassuringly familiar.
Miranda Kerr on co-parenting with respect and forgiveness
Kerr is open about her approach to co-parenting and why she believes respect is the cornerstone of raising children in a blended family. “At the end of the day we’re all human, and if it’s not working for you and your partner, and the best thing in the interest of the family is for you to not be together,” she begins, “then I really feel like being respectful to each other is so important and giving each other the love and respect that I believe every human deserves.”
She explains that when children are involved, both parents will always be family in some form, and how the adults treat each other shapes the child’s experience. “The more harmonious it can be between the two of you, the more harmonious it is for the child or children,” she adds, “and to me that’s the ultimate goal.”
Forgiveness and respect, as Kerr puts it, create a foundation of stability, not just for parents but for the little ones navigating life alongside them.
Finding harmony in the chaos of motherhood
As a mom of four boys—ages ranging from toddler to teenager—Kerr admits her household is “madness” and has learned to lean into the beauty of those messy moments. “I get up earlier, so then I have that time for myself in the morning,” she shares. “If I give myself a good hour and a half before they wake up, I get to do my meditation, my yoga, my skincare routine, and feel centered and grounded before the beautiful chaos begins with the kids.”
That blend of routine and self-care keeps her grounded, even when she’s in the thick of school runs, bath times, and bedtime rituals. Kerr recalls her grandmother’s advice that “routine is so important with children” and now sees how it brings a profound sense of safety and stability to her sons, offering them a comforting anchor in the chaos of daily life.
Gratitude, mantras, and family rituals
It makes sense that Kerr, who has been into mindfulness and holistic health way before the rest of us, brings all that into parenting. On her school run, she shares how she helps her children center themselves before the day begins. “What we do in the morning on the way to school is I say, ‘What are three things you’re grateful for?’” she says. “After we say what we’re grateful for, we then do our meditation.”
Each of her older boys has their own mantra, taught through a Vedic meditation practice. And at night, the family reflects on the highs and lows of their days: “We talk about what was your rose for the day, what was your thorn? And then sometimes they’re like, I have a little bud as well.”
