Supermodel Miranda Kerr Says Lasting Beauty Starts With Inner Peace, Not Perfection

Miranda Kerr has spent decades in an industry built around appearance, but her current approach to beauty sounds a lot less extreme than people might expect.
On a recent episode of Well With Arielle, the supermodel and founder of KORA Organics shares the habits she actually swears by now—from dry brushing and red light therapy to meditation, sleep, and staying grounded through motherhood and business. While Kerr touches on skincare staples and runway prep from her Victoria’s Secret years, she’s clear that beauty works best when it starts from within.
Instead of chasing quick fixes, Kerr described a routine centered on energy, longevity, and just plain feeling good in her body. “Health is wealth,” she says, explaining that she thinks about wellness through a “360 approach” that includes mind, body, and spirit.
Her glowing skin routine is surprisingly consistent
Kerr doesn’t swear by one miracle product for her skin. Instead, she has a few daily rituals she sticks to.
Her glow habits include:
- Dry brushing every morning before showering
- Applying body oil before and after showering
- Double cleansing at night
- Using a retinol alternative serum because traditional retinol made her skin dry
- Face oil, eye oil, and overnight masks
- Red light therapy and laser tools
- Prioritizing hydration and sleep
She also says she focuses on the neck and chest area as she ages, calling it an often-overlooked part of skincare.
Why she thinks inner peace changes how you look
Kerr repeatedly comes back to meditation as her biggest non-negotiable. She says it helps her feel centered and more connected to herself. “It’s a way to really connect with that deeper part of yourself,” she says.
She even encourages her children to meditate, saying it gives them tools to return to themselves during stressful moments. She adds that confidence and comfort in your own skin can be more magnetic than anything topical. “When you’re comfortable in your own skin, that does radiate,” she says. So if you’ve been telling yourself you’re going to start meditating, use this as your sign.
What she learned from the modeling world
Kerr entered the fashion industry at 14 and quickly understood that modeling could be fleeting, which shaped how hard she worked in those early years. “I was working six days a week and averaging like two different countries a week, and I would only really take off Christmas,” she says. “Because I told myself like this is a short-lived job, so you’ve got to make hay while the sun shines.”
Even with that schedule, Kerr says she never approached success through burnout or chaos. Instead, she believes her long-term focus on health habits helped her keep up with the demands of nonstop travel, shoots, and public scrutiny. “I feel like I probably wouldn’t have been able to travel to the extent that I did and have the career that I had if I didn’t take care of myself,” she explains.
She says while other models had their own methods, she was usually the one protecting her routines and getting rest when possible. “I was always the one that was like, ok, you know, I’m gonna go to bed now, I need to get up early in the morning.”
Her Victoria’s Secret prep included workouts and body glow hacks
When asked how she prepared for the Victoria’s Secret runway, Kerr says she trained six days a week with a coach, mixing boxing, running, skipping, and other workouts.
But some of the prep was simple, and surprisingly things you can do at home:
- Body oil for luminous skin
- Spray tans before the show
- Body contouring through tanning
- Staying active consistently rather than crash-prepping
At a time when beauty routines can feel increasingly complicated and overstimulating, Kerr’s message is refreshing. Learn what works for you, take care of yourself daily, and make time to be still.
