If you’ve ever needed someone to say the thing you’ve been thinking but were too polite to say out loud, Morgan Stewart is that person. On We Met at Acme, the Rich Kids of Beverly Hills alum sits down with host Lindsey Metselaar and delivers relationship take after relationship take with zero filter and zero apology. Five years into marriage with Jordan McGraw, she has very strong opinions about how all of this is supposed to work.

Here are some of her hottest takes.

Morgan Stewart Shares Blunt Dating Rules on ‘We Met at Acme’

No turtlenecks on a first date. Ever.

Metselaar asks what we should be wearing on first dates and Stewart doesn’t hesitate. Jeans and a tight top. “You need to look sexy on a first date, but not like you tried too hard,” she explains. “Like, you’re not planning to end the night together, but you are looking hot because you’re being desirable for them.” Then Metselaar asks about turtlenecks and Stewart nearly combusts. “What in the f*ck? Are we going on dates or are we getting a job? The point is to see if we’re going to fornicate one day and have a family…I need to see like a little clavicle here.”

The man should like you more and that’s not up for debate

“Men have to love women more than women love men,” Stewart says matter-of-factly. “It’s just biology because men move on faster. They are quicker to be diverted in their attention. So you always need to be a little out of their league.” The Renggli founder and her hubby have been together since way back, and she’s fully transparent about the dynamic. “Jordan’s been obsessed with me for like 20 years now. And it’s going to stay that way forever.”

Don’t say I love you first

Stewart goes after what she wants in pretty much every area of life. But this is where she draws the line. “I’m very aggressive and very direct when I want something, but I would never ever say I love you to a man first.” Metselaar agrees. Both of them say you should wait, but Stewart adds a caveat: “Not three years.” There’s patience and then there’s wasting your time.

If he can’t propose in two and a half years, leave

“You should be dating for two and a half years,” Stewart says. “And if he can’t propose and you’re at the appropriate age, it’s time to go.” No ifs, no buts, no “maybe he just needs more time.” She’s equally firm about the kids conversation. “If a man says he does not want kids, he is not lying to you. He does not want them.” Then she pauses. “Or he does not want them with you. So we need to move on if you want them.”

Marriage gets easier when you stop nagging

Metselaar asks Stewart to finish the sentence “marriage gets easier when you stop…” and her answer is immediate. “Nagging.” Five years in with two kids and that’s the lesson. Not a revolutionary concept but hearing it from someone as blunt as Stewart makes it land differently. She and McGraw are both fun and both strict with their kids, but the balance works because they’ve figured out how to not pick each other apart over the small stuff.

If you’re making excuses for it, it’s not for you

Stewart closes with the one piece of advice she’d give anyone. “If it does not feel right, if you have to make excuses for something, it is truly not your path,” she shares. “I’ve done that thousands of times in my life and that never ended up working out. Whether that be a job, whether that be a boyfriend, whether that be a friend, whenever you have to make excuses for something, it’s not for you.” Then she adds, with perfect Stewart delivery: “Let it go. After five years of therapy and complaining about it every day, but then let it go.”
