Every week, Girls Gotta Eat hosts Ashley Hesseltine and Rayna Greenberg carve out a lighter, faster version of their main show—no long interviews, just the two of them riffing on whatever’s currently melting the internet.

This week’s episode had no business being this chaotic. Tiger Woods got another DUI. Twelve tons of Kit Kats were stolen in Europe. And then, right before they hit record, Amanda Batula and Wes Wilson dropped a joint Instagram story confirming they are, in fact, together—blowing up Summer House. Add in more MomTok fallout and a Love Story tangent, and you’ve got an episode that moves fast and doesn’t waste your time. Here’s what happened.

Pop Culture Recap: Summer House Drama and More

Tiger Woods, his DUI, and why rich people should never drive themselves

Woods was involved in another DUI—his second, or possibly third depending on how you count a 2021 crash that may or may not have involved alcohol. He flipped his car, was found with pills, and walked away physically fine, which is more than can be said for his reputation.

Hesseltine and Greenberg say there’s no excuse. “Tiger Woods could have private drivers stationed at every home and city that he has,” Greenberg says. “It’s the first hire I would make.” For someone worth close to a billion dollars, a full-time driver at $100K a year is genuinely nothing—and yet here we are. The girls also noted that celebrity DUI footage has become oddly easy to access lately (re: Justin Timberlake), and they’d very much like to see Woods’ body cam when it surfaces.

Twelve tons of Kit Kats stolen

Thieves in Europe made off with 400,000 Kit Kat bars—roughly 12 tons—off a truck. The logistics alone raise questions. The amount of planning and coordination involved? And at the end of all that effort, what they landed on was Kit Kats.

Kit Kat’s official response leaned into the “have a break” slogan: their spokesperson said the thieves seemed to have “taken the message a little too literally.” Domino’s, Denny’s, and DoorDash all jumped in with their own statements—Denny’s claiming the theft happened between 1:30 and 4 a.m. and they were “very busy,” DoorDash announcing a “completely random packaging error” that left 12 tons of Kit Kats in their Dash Marts. Hesseltine’s husband even workshopped one for his app, Kitchen Sink, linking three Kit Kat recipes.

The girls ranked their candy bars. Greenberg’s top pick is Kit Kat. Hesseltine went M&M’s, specifically the peanut butter ones, and made a case for Snickers as a pre-workout food, which apparently was an actual marketing campaign at some point.

Amanda Batula and Wes Wilson hard launch—and ‘Summer House’ may never recover

Amanda Batula and Wes Wilson posted a joint Instagram story—black background, white text, so you know it’s important— confirming they’re together. It’s possibly the first time anyone has ever seen a “yes, the rumors are true, we’re dating” announcement formatted like a breakup statement.

For context, Batula and Kyle Cooke have been on Summer House since season one and married about five years ago. The relationship was volatile on camera. Lots of fighting, Cook drinking heavily—and they announced their divorce after this season wrapped. Wilson, meanwhile, had a situationship with Ciara Miller years ago that ended with him giving a New York Times interview essentially saying he was never that into her. Miller has since become one of the show’s most beloved cast members.

The most recent episode showed Cook calling Amanda a “dumb f**ing b**ch” on camera. Wilson comforted her and people started connecting dots. The cast started posting shocked-face Instagram stories. Austen Kroll basically confirmed it, and then the statement dropped.

The hosts’ take is that if this is real, it’s been going on for a while. And the fact that they posted at all means they’re serious enough to weather the fallout. “They are risking a lot,” Hesseltine says. As for Batula—she went, in Greenberg’s words, “from Ariana to Raquel in about a week.” Miller, meanwhile, has nothing to be embarrassed about and is on what Hesseltine called “a rocket ship to fame.”

MomTok: Chase McWhorter is everywhere

Secret Lives of Mormon Wives never slows down. After Jessie Draper’s Call Her Daddy episode aired—the one where she detailed blackmail and verbal abuse from her estranged husband Jordan Ngatikaura—it came out that Draper had also hooked up with Chase McWhorter, Miranda McWhorter’s ex-husband. Draper sent Miranda flowers, which Miranda posted on Instagram immediately, card and all.

Chase, for the record, has now been connected to Taylor Frankie Paul, Draper, Layla Taylor (who then dated his brother Mason), and Shinia Powell—which Chase’s own sister confirmed on Instagram. The girls’ conclusion is that Chase is essentially a Mormon Wives rite of passage at this point.

On the Taylor Frankie Paul front: Hesseltine finished the season and stands by the take that ABC should never have cast her as the Bachelorette, and that Paul (who was clearly not in a good place) should have been better protected. Paul apparently receives her full paycheck since she completed the assignment. Hesseltine’s verdict: “ABC made sure the show got canceled because they didn’t want to air this season.”

Carol Radziwill and Love Story

Love Story (the Netflix JFK Jr. series) wrapped, and the conversation around it has become almost more interesting than the show itself. People close to the Kennedys—Jack Schlossberg, Daryl Hannah—have been vocal about not wanting to be associated with it. Carol Radziwill, who was close friends with JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette and is now joining the new Real Housewives of New York, has taken the opposite approach and is doing press for anything that will have her.

Greenberg also pointed out that the Bessette style revival feels slightly overhyped, the argument being that she wasn’t necessarily a fashion person, she just happened to be extremely beautiful, and an extremely beautiful person in plain clothes will always look like a style icon. Someone (possibly Radziwill herself) was quoted saying she was just “greasy hair and a ponytail,” throwing on whatever.
