5 Things Scheana Shay and Zack Wickham Just Revealed That Bravo Fans Need to Hear
Maggie Ekberg
If you’ve been keeping up with the Bravoverse this week, you already know the timeline is unhinged. Lisa Rinna’s memoir just blew the doors off every RHOBH relationship we thought we understood. The Traitors Season 4 finale had everyone screaming at their screens. And The Valley Season 3 is less than a month away with Lala Kent and Tom Schwartz joining full-time and Jax Taylor officially gone.
The timing of this episode could not be more perfect. On Scheananigans, host Scheana Shay sits down with The Valley‘s Zack Wickham for a long-overdue reunion after years of friendship fallout, and what starts as a reconciliation turns into one of the most tea-filled conversations in recent Bravo memory. From Shay’s husband Brock Davies’ affair to Lisa Vanderpump’s alleged manipulation to their unfiltered Traitors hot takes, they held absolutely nothing back.
Scheana Shay and Zack Wickham Finally Reunite and Hold Absolutely Nothing Back
Shay confirms her Davies’ affair and reveals who kept the secret
“The fact that that information made its way back to you and you did nothing with it really meant a lot,” Shay tells Wickham. Because here’s the thing: when Wickham found out about Brock’s affair, he and Shay weren’t even on good terms. The person who told him wasn’t on good terms with Shay either. Every ingredient was there for that information to become a weapon or a storyline or a group chat screenshot. And Wickham just…didn’t.
“If I didn’t think it was worth it, meaning that you’re a good person, I wouldn’t be in this seat right now,” he says. In the Bravoverse, where people weaponize information for camera time, someone low-key protecting you when they have every reason not to? That’s the real stuff.
Their friendship fallout lasted years and they’re just now addressing it
COVID, misinformation, distance, and the kind of slow drift that happens when life pulls people in different directions. Shay and Wickham weren’t close for a couple of years and neither of them pretends otherwise.
“We’ve both had our moments where we’ve apologized and that’s the strongest part of our friendship,” Wickham says. “You can say, okay, you messed up, and we take responsibility and move forward.” He says the reason they were able to come back is because the friendship “isn’t based on superficial things.” It wasn’t built on the show, so it didn’t die with the show.
And the wildest part? Shay didn’t film The Valley Season 3, and they actually got closer because of it. “I wouldn’t have thought by saying no to last season that I would get closer with some people,” she says. “And I love that.”
The Lisa Vanderpump bombshell that Bravo fans are going to lose it over
“The same person who tricked me into working a party at Sir one time,” Shay says. “The same person who tried to get Lala and Sandoval to hook up Season 11.”
Wait. Back up. While bonding over Rinna’s memoir, Shay casually reveals that Vanderpump allegedly called Kent and suggested she hook up with Sandoval during the Tahoe trip. “And Lala was like, ‘I would sleep with Ken before I would sleep with Tom. Let me tell you that,’” she recalls.
Shay then reads the Rinna excerpt about Vanderpump calling her every single morning to mold her “like clay” and says it completely mirrors her own experience.
Their ‘Traitors’ Season 4 finale takes are scorching
“He did play a good game. I will give him that,” Wickham says about Rob Rausch. “But dear Lord, the faithfuls did him every favor—they gave him everything on a platter.” So did Rausch play a “flawless game” or did everyone else just play a terrible one? Wickham thinks both.
They’re also firmly on Candace Dillard Bassett’s side for burning the whole thing down after Rausch turned on their trio. “You try to take out one of our other people? Guess what? We taken down the entire ship—we all going down, boo boo,” Wickham says.
And he has a bone to pick with the casting too. Bringing in superfans like Donna Kelce who are starstruck by the other players makes it way too easy for Traitors to hide. “You can’t have someone coming on the show that is a fan of the people around them,” he says. “You have to have people in that environment because when you do that, then they’re a fish out of water and then they’re just like, ‘Donna, sorry. It was so easy to tell you were a traitor.’”
The ‘Valley’ Season 3 is less than a month away and the cast shakeup changes everything
“This season is no joke,” Wickham says. “You really get to see what our friendships are all about.” With Taylor gone, Kent and Schwartz joining full-time, and the trailer already showing Schwartz flirting with Michelle, Kent suggesting a threesome, and Brittany dating someone new, the group dynamic is a full reset.
The Valley Season 3 premieres April 1 on Bravo with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock. If you haven’t caught up on Season 2, now’s the time because April is about to be chaos.
