Scheana Shay Breaks Down the Bravo Betrayals, Mormon Mess, and MLB’s Accidental Confession

Scheana Shay and Kiki Monique are processing a bombshell on Scheananigans that dropped right before they hit record—and if you’ve been anywhere near reality TV social media this week, you already know what it is. They’re breaking down the timeline, the fallout, and what it means for basically everyone involved. Plus, a viral misunderstanding that will make you question everything you thought you knew about a certain word, and MLB technology that just accidentally exposed years of very committed lying.
Scheana Shay Breaks Down This Week’s Reality TV Drama
Wait, so West and Amanda are actually a thing?
If you haven’t heard, Summer House’s Amanda and West are reportedly together. As in, Amanda—who was just married to Kyle, posted a joint statement with him a couple months ago, and spent the whole season leaning on her best friend Ciara—is now with West. Ciara’s West.
Scheana was skeptical right up until the end. She had trusted sources telling her it was true, but accounts that had spread misinformation before were also pushing the story, so she was caught in the middle. In hindsight, she should have gone with the legit sources.
And the timeline is what’s killing everyone. Scheana interviewed the Summer House cast in January for SiriusXM and says the girls seemed totally fine. So when did this actually start? Was it before or after Ciara was talking about rekindling things with West? Was it while they were all living in the same house?
And then there’s the “I love you” moment—West whispering it to Ciara as he left the room. At the time it read as him being protective, not wanting her to feel dismissed while Kyle was being awful. Now it’s something else.
What this means for Ciara—and Amanda
Scheana has nothing but love for Ciara. She calls her one of the most “stunning,” genuinely kind people she’s ever met, and she’s furious on her behalf. And the frustration is mainly about timing. Amanda was about to get a massive wave of goodwill coming off this season. Brands, fans, the whole redemption arc was basically handed to her. And she torched it.
Kyle, somehow, comes out of this looking better—which is wild given that he called Amanda a “dumb a** b**ch” on camera this season.
The other piece Scheana can’t shake: does this feel like Amanda blowing up Summer House on her way out to the spinoff? She doesn’t want to say it’s intentional, but it’s hard not to wonder.
Utah is also a mess
Over in Secret Lives of Mormon Wives territory, Jessie and Chase are a thing—and Chase is Miranda’s ex. Miranda’s statement said it best: she’s familiar with this territory at this point. She knew there had been communication between them, Chase told her they kissed, and then Jessie sent apology flowers the same day rumors started spreading online.
Scheana and Kiki both feel bad for Miranda, even though Miranda is clearly over Chase as a romantic prospect. It’s more the “why is my baby daddy always circling my friend group” storyline that’s exhausting.
There’s also a question of how real any of this is. With so much filming happening, it’s hard not to wonder whether some of these moments are manufactured for the cameras. Scheana says her interest in the show has dipped a little for exactly that reason.
MLB accidentally exposed height catfishing
Starting in 2026, Major League Baseball re-measured players using medical-grade standards for their new automated strike zone system—which needs exact heights to call balls and strikes correctly. The results? Over 200 players were suddenly shorter on paper. 171 guys lost an inch. 48 lost two inches. Six lost three. And as we ladies know too well, three inches makes a big difference.
Scheana points out that this accidentally exposed what’s been happening on dating apps and driver’s licenses for years. Bo Naylor went from 6’0 to 5’9. Connor Wong dropped from 6’1 to 5’10. Men lying to their own athletic organizations, for what—the baseball card stats? The girls watching from the stands?
The kicker is that if this kind of precision tech ever comes for women’s ages and weights, it will feel like a personal attack. And Scheana fully admits she lied on her California driver’s license about her weight. She also confesses to sneaking her daughter into Disneyland rides in sparkly gold heels to hit the height requirement, which is chaotic and kind of genius.
