Sound frequencies are subtle waves that speak to your energy at a cellular level. Human cells oscillate at different frequencies, whether it’s a happy, depressed, or a stressed one. The human body and its organs also have a natural frequency at which they vibrate most easily.
Widney explains that sound frequencies work at an energetic level, before thoughts and emotions. “Sound frequencies help your cells resonate at a certain frequency. It’s a passive modality (it’s a sound you can hear). It calms the nervous system and helps them operate properly,” she says.
Sound frequency therapy is inexpensive and noninvasive. “You can get results no matter what you’re doing. You just have to push play. You can play it while driving, cooking, or bathing your children. And it can be at the lowest decimal of audio and still emit the frequency in the room. Your body feels it, and tries to resonate at that frequency,” Widney adds.
