What’s New with Vinny Guadagnino?

Vinny Guadagnino has evolved beyond his Jersey Shore days of gym, tan, laundry. At 37, he’s embraced adulthood, trading club nights for a more private lifestyle. He recently became the first male guest to join The Pre-Game With Kayla Nicole. Despite knowing each other for a decade, the two friends discuss life over glasses of rosé—Guadagnino’s relationship aspirations, newfound passion for running, grief after losing his dog to cancer, and his dating pet peeves. Yes, it’s exactly as one might expect from a former fist-pumper whose Raya bio now reads “intentional dating.”

“My next relationship is forever,” Guadagnino explains to Nicole. “If I say I love you, I’m not playing games.”

So what’s his type these days? Someone nurturing, maternal, OCD with cleaning, college educated, can engage in banter, sexual, physically attractive, private, and apparently comfortable with his conservative politics. When Nicole asks how he reconciles his preference to date Black women with his political affiliations, Guadagnino explains: “The world is a melting pot and not every race has to think the same.”

What else is new with Guadagnino? He’s grieving the recent passing of his pitbull, Tita, while adjusting to life with a hairless cat named Mac, nicknamed Big Mac. “I never knew that getting a pussy would get me so much p***y,” he laughs.

He’s running marathons (who isn’t these days?) instead of clubbing. New York City, he says, offers the perfect outdoor track right outside his doorstep (as opposed to LA where it’s more hilly). Although he prefers a quieter lifestyle, he still makes club appearances once in a while for the cash grab, but he needs “a shot or two” to handle hanging out with 20-somethings. And he insists on paying for dinner, even if it’s platonic. “Every girl just wants to be friends nowadays,” he laments, seemingly unaware of why that might be the case…

Our Shows
Over 50 & Flourishing
Welcome to Over 50 & Flourishing, the show for any woman who feels like she lost her compass in the sea of midlife. I’m here to tell you it’s never too late to change your course and awaken the healthy, wise, and wonderful woman within. My name is Dominique Sachse, and I love to ask questions, which was why I spent nearly three decades of my life in the TV news business. I also started a YouTube channel in 2014 to connect intimately with my community, and I took an even deeper dive in my book Life Makeover - Embrace The Bold, Beautiful and Blessed You. I’ll be the first to say, I’ve made mistakes, and I’m not afraid to be vulnerable and learn from them. I mean let’s face it, this stage of life can be complicated. Children are moving out, relationships are being examined, our parents are aging, and we’re having to manage all of this along with our menopause! It’s easy to lose sight of ourselves, but can I just say.. we matter. So, whether it’s finding ways to enhance and celebrate our own beauty, taking bold steps toward living our best life in the second half of life, finding ways to be healthier, happier, and more spiritually connected, I will bring you thinkers and innovators who share the same passion of flushing out these ideas. It’s my goal to leave us all feeling inspired, thought and intent-driven, and with a sense of purpose in whatever we pursue. Let’s celebrate growing older together and embrace our Prime. It’s our time!
