Who Is Lacy Nicole

If you watch The Valley, you already know the face. You’ve seen her as Jesse Lally’s plus-one, and you’ve probably wondered who she actually is when the cameras stop rolling. Scheana Shay wanted the same answer, so she sat down with Lacy Nicole for a long, unhurried conversation on her podcast, Scheananigans.

What came out was less “reality TV girlfriend” and more the full picture: an Orange County entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and a mental health advocate with a lot more going on than a plus-one credit.

Scheana and Lacy have a history (they’ve talked openly about a rocky start to their friendship), which is exactly why this episode goes deeper than a surface bio. Below, we get into who Lacy is on her own terms, the advocacy work she pours herself into, how she and Jesse actually connected, and the moments that stood out most.

Consider this your plugged-in guide to the girlfriend Lacy fans keep Googling. Ahead: the Shame to Sparkle Foundation, her endometriosis and women’s health advocacy, her relationship with Jesse Lally, her role on The Valley Season 3, and the Housewives rumor she is very tired of correcting.

The following reflects Lacy’s personal experiences as shared on the podcast and is not medical advice.

Who Is Lacy Nicole: Scheana Sits Down With Valley Star Jesse Lally's Girlfriend

Who Is Lacy Nicole?

Lacy is born and raised in Orange County, a Villa Park High School alum who has gone by “Lacy OC” online since Instagram launched (yes, named after the show, and yes, that’s where her daughter’s name comes from too). She’s an entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and a mental health advocate. And she’s very intentional about being seen as her own person.

She was candid with Scheana about a hard upbringing shaped by addiction in her home. As an only child, she said she took on a caretaker role from the earliest age possible, learning to read a room before she’d learned basic social cues. She frames that not as a wound to stay stuck in, but as the thing that gave her nuance early and shaped how she moves through the world now.

That self-awareness runs through everything she talked about. She does inner child work, talks openly about reparenting herself, and keeps a childhood photo of herself close as a reminder of who she’s advocating for.

It’s the throughline that connects the rest of her story.

The Shame to Sparkle Foundation

The Shame to Sparkle Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women through trauma-informed support, emotional wellness resources, and mental health advocacy. Lacy told Scheana she spent years living in shame about where she came from and Shame to Sparkle is her answer to that.

Her foundation is small by design, and she’s refreshingly honest about the scale. As she put it, they help roughly 15 to 20 women a year. And to her, that’s 15 to 20 more than nobody.

The work is hands-on and often heavy. She spoke about showing up to speak on victim advocate panels, sometimes at the courthouse, and hearing stories far harder than her own. She’s clear that she isn’t in what she jokingly calls the “trauma Olympics,” and that the point is simply to use the access and resources she has to make a real, tangible difference for someone in a hard moment.

She traces the entire mission back to her own experience. Getting free of that shame, she said, is what let her move forward as her most authentic self, and she wants to hand other women that same permission.

Lacy Nicole’s Endometriosis and Women’s Health Advocacy

This is where Lacy gets loudest, and for good reason. She shared that it took her nearly 10 years to get diagnosed with endometriosis, a stretch of being bounced between doctors who told her it was anxiety while her symptoms escalated. By the time an excision surgeon confirmed it, she said it had advanced to stage 4.

Her frustration is really about how women get dismissed. She described begging for answers, documenting everything in a folder because she was made to feel like she was imagining it, and losing years to being told it was in her head. She noted that the average diagnosis timeline is roughly a decade, and that the odds get worse for women of color and women without insurance access.

So she talks about it on purpose. She said she constantly hears from women who know something is wrong but can’t get a doctor to believe them, and her whole goal is to hand them the language to advocate for themselves.

Lacy Nicole and Jesse Lally

Lacy and Jesse Lally didn’t meet through an app or a setup. As she explained it, their kids were already in the same Orange County friend circle, doing birthday parties together, long before she and Jesse were a couple. Her daughter, she said, knew Jesse first as her friend’s dad, which made his eventual place in their lives feel much more natural.

She was warm and measured about where things stand. She described herself as more guarded and stoic since her divorce, not eager to remarry, but genuinely happy in a stable place.

On co-parenting and blending families, her approach is simple: respect the other household’s rules and keep their shared time light and fun. If you want the other side of this pairing, here’s more on Jesse Lally on The Valley.

Lacy Nicole on The Valley

Lacy appears on The Valley Season 3 in a plus-one capacity, and she was refreshingly honest about what that’s like. She admitted she now looks at her own life through what she called a producer’s eye, clocking chaotic dinner parties and thinking they could carry a whole season of reality TV.

She’s protective of her daughter around cameras, noting there are moments where bringing her along simply wouldn’t make sense for the show. Filming, she said, has sharpened how she reads what’s happening both on and off screen.

Setting the Record Straight on the Housewives Rumors

If there’s one thing Lacy wanted cleared up, it’s this. She says the persistent story that she “interviewed” for The Real Housewives of Orange County is the thing she gets the most slack for, and the word “interview” is what bothers her most, because that isn’t how it happened.

As she told it, producers reached out to her over the years, once when she was younger, and again later. The second time, she declined outright, explaining that her marriage was ending and her mental health was in a genuinely bad place, and she even sent along a list of friends instead.

She grew up watching the show and knows plenty of people in that world, but she’s firm that being DM’d isn’t the same as auditioning. At this point, she says, she’s mostly made peace with wearing the label.

Lacy Nicole isn’t just a “plus-one” on The Valley; she’s an advocate, philanthropist, mother, and survivor. And honestly? This post barely scratches the surface of her depth. The full conversation goes deeper on motherhood, dating after divorce, health scares, and the friendship arc between Lacy and Scheana that makes the whole thing land. Do yourself a favor and watch or stream the entire sit-down, then dig into more candid conversations on the Scheananigans podcast.
