How to Create a Strong Social Media & Digital Presence with Renee Ogaki

Last year, while life was on lockdown and there was so little we could control, I realized I desperately needed to focus on the strategy behind building an influential and important social media presence. I had this “AHA” moment but knew I wasn’t capable of this overarching, big picture task. I like small touches and up-close views…and that’s ok! I’ve learned the importance of acknowledging your strengths and weaknesses as early as possible so you know when to ask for help. I have the creative eye and vision, but needed someone not only versed in the inner workings of brand building and data analysis, but who also embodied the style, grace and silliness that my brand represents. Enter, Renee Ogaki!! Renee is the founder of OGAKI, the first digital PR agency of its kind. OGAKI is entirely focused on the online space and built for digital-first brands and personalities. Renee has helped me not only strengthen my Instagram channel, but is also handling the social and PR for my lounge line, COZeCO! During our chat she shares how she came up with the strategy for building my and COZeCO’s social media accounts and gives some great advice for those looking to get into the digital marketing and PR space! She started working in the digital space before Instagram had even launched, creating a strong foundation of experience in building a brand’s voice and community online. Throughout her career, Renee has worked with pioneering brands across the beauty, fashion, hospitality and lifestyle space including Four Seasons, Diptyque, Charlotte Tilbury, Bulgari Hotels, New Balance, among others.
