Brock knocked the Vanderpump Rules couple’s Valentine’s Day plans out of the park with a celebration that Scheana says she will never forget. “Brock planned this very spontaneous day that was something out of a movie. It reminded me of the movie, No Strings Attached, where they did all these fun things in LA,” Scheana shares.
Brock surprised Scheana with one of her LA bucket list items: a trip to the Planetarium at the Griffith Observatory. After the show ended around sunset, they headed to Dave & Buster’s on Hollywood and Highland.
Next, they visited their friend Katie Cazorla’s comedy club, The Kookaburra Lounge. To their surprise, it wasn’t comedy night but burlesque night instead. “I love a good burlesque show. Brock, on the other hand, was so uncomfortable. He was just like, ‘I don’t know where to look or what to do.’” After a few acts, they went home and did their usual routine of sauna and cold plunge.
When it comes to dealing with mom guilt after a night out, Scheana shares that it’s a process.
If she is out of town or has to go somewhere earlier and can’t read to her daughter before bed, she gives herself a pep talk. “I remind myself that I still have to live my life and do things that fill my cup. Sometimes, you need a girls’ night out.”
Scheana advises other moms to prioritize doing things for themselves because it allows them to show up as the best versions of themselves. “Whenever that guilt creeps up, I just remind myself that I have to do things for me so that I feel like me.”
Sandavol has crystallized his role on Peacock’s hit show Traitors. When separated from his former Vanderpump Rules cast, it seems like we might actually appreciate Sandoval’s honesty and sometimes idiocy that brings comic relief.
Fans were curious about Scheana’s thoughts about Sandoval on the show. She shares that she’s been tuning in weekly and gets a big laugh watching the show.
When asked if Sandoval is getting a bad edit on Traitors compared to his favorable portrayal on VPR, Scheana says, “I think it’s the same Sandoval honestly. Maybe a half step off pace with reality at times. I think now you are seeing him in a new environment with new personalities. He doesn’t have those people to prop him up. He isn’t coming in as the No. 1 guy in the cast. He’s an outcast.”
To his benefit, Scheana says the cast does not see him as a threat, which might help him in the end.
There were so many questions about Traitors that Scheana decided to call her friend and Traitors cast member, Dolores Catania, directly to get the inside scoop.
When describing Sandoval, Dolores says, “He’s like a puppy who does something wrong and doesn’t know why he gets hit for it. But he is not a violent person. He can be a jerk, a total asshole, but I never saw Sandoval get to that nasty, angry place.” She describes him as a comic belief. “He doesn’t even care about you liking him. Attention is a big thing for him.
Catania voted for Sandoval because he came after her for no reason. “He was the first person to say ‘You are not playing the game right.’” Scheana agrees, “He’s been playing the game terribly.”
Regarding which banishment surprised her most, Dolares admits, “Honestly, no matter who you voted for—when they get up there and tell you who they are—you are in shock. You are always voting with some level of uncertainty, unless you are a traitor.
As far as castle friendships, Dolares says she loves everyone, but one person she is close to is Bob Harper. She describes Ciara Miller as her “mini me.”
For her wardrobe for the show, Dolares worked with several stylists: Styled by Sonica, The Style Duo, and the expert styling couple Coulson Bingham and Modesto Abreu. She brought four full suitcases. Catania revealed that Sandoval lost his suitcases: “When Tom walked in looking like Top Gun, that’s when you knew his luggage came in.”
In case you missed it, Scheana recently announced her book, My Good Side. The candid memoir delves into her personal life and her struggles behind the cameras of her 11-year run on Vanderpump Rules. She’s taking back the narrative of her life story beyond the headlines, cast members’ opinions, and online trolls.
The book announcement was postponed six times. “With all of the fires, I decided to push it, but now we’re doing it. It’s been a journey both writing it and announcing it,” Scheana shares.
Readers will get Scheana’s life story—from her parents planning for her birth to her time in Hollywood before reality TV, and her life since Vanderpump Rules ended.
“I do talk about everything and everyone. There are things about my current husband, my ex-husband, and former bosses. It’s really just all sides of me: the good, the bad, and things you’ve seen on the show. I would like to be more understood. But if you read this book and you still don’t like me, that’s fine.”
She’s excited to share her book with the world, which has been a lifelong dream of hers. It is available for pre-order now.
