In a moment that feels both iconic and overdue, Demi Moore has officially been crowned PEOPLE’s 2024 “Most Beautiful” cover star. At 61, the legendary actress, producer, and walking cheekbone masterclass proves that beauty transcends age—it’s defined by presence, energy, and legendary bone structure.

Demi Moore opens up about aging and beauty

In her PEOPLE cover story, Moore gets real about beauty from within. “I do believe beauty is an inside job, that it’s something that comes from the inside out,” she says. “I’ve never felt more like myself.” She embraces aging with grace, stays active (including cold plunges and dog walks), and carefully chooses her inner circle. “Surrounding myself with people who love and support me,” she says, is part of the glow-up formula—and girl, it shows.

This is the woman who delivered Ghost, G.I. Jane, and Disclosure, raised three daughters, penned a raw memoir, and somehow rocked a buzzcut better than most of us look with a ring light and filters. So, yes—Demi’s recognition? We love to see it.

Taylor and Dr. Wider weigh in

And so does Taste of Taylor host Taylor Strecker, who devoted segment time to applaud Moore’s win. “Honestly, she is so fucking stunning, and I like this for her,” Taylor says, calling out the often performative nature of these lists. “Usually, it’s kind of bullshit, but this one? Deserved.” Taylor and Dr. Wider celebrate how Moore has always embodied beauty—but now, it’s being acknowledged in a way that breaks stereotypes.

“She gives natural essence,” Taylor adds, praising Moore’s evolution and tasteful (read: subtle) tweaks. “She looks totally natural, and I love that they’re giving it to an older woman.”

Why this matters—especially for women over 50

And there’s the bigger story.

For way too long, women have been fed the lie that beauty peaks at 25 and disappears like a ghost in the night once the first gray hair dares to peek out. Meanwhile, Harrison Ford remains a heartthrob at 82 without comment. The double standard is real, and exhausting, but moments like this feel like a small but powerful rebellion.

We are not going gently into that Botox-free night, thank you very much.

A shift in how we define aging

Demi Moore’s win matters not just because she’s beautiful (she is), but because it tells a different story. One where aging isn’t a curse, but a privilege. One where older women step into the spotlight instead of being sidelined or dismissed. One where you can be vibrant, sexy, and stylish at any age—and not just in an “aging gracefully” kind of way, but in a “damn, I’d still risk it all” kind of way.

And that’s the shift we need. As Taylor put it: “Let’s keep going—50, 60, 70, 80. Thank you, Martha Stewart. If you can see her, you can be her.”

So let’s raise a glass (or a collagen peptide smoothie) to Demi Moore—Most Beautiful, Most Deserving, and most importantly, Most Unbothered. Aging never looked so damn good.
