If you grew up quoting Drake & Josh, you’ve probably followed the glow-up of Josh Peck from Nickelodeon teen star to podcast host, author, and—most importantly—dad. Recently, he and his wife, Paige O’Brien, welcomed baby number three, and Peck’s Good Guys co-host Ben Soffer couldn’t help but gush that Peck has “just like this big, gorgeous family.” That single line sent the internet scrambling for details about the woman who’s been by Peck’s side since long before the “hug me, brotha!” handshake.

So, who exactly is Paige O’Brien, and how did she become the steady force behind one of the internet’s favorite good guys?

How Josh Peck met Paige O’Brien

Peck first crossed paths with O’Brien in 2011, years after his Nickelodeon heyday. While Peck was pivoting into adult acting roles, O’Brien was already making her mark behind the camera as a cinematographer and editor on indie shorts like Black Wolf and Let Go. Their low-key romance played out mostly off social media until Peck popped the question in Paris in 2016. One year later, the pair said “I do” in Malibu, choosing a small ceremony that prioritized family over flash.

Their family keeps growing—and glowing

O’Brien and Peck wasted no time building the family they’d dreamed about. Son Max arrived in 2018, followed by son Shai in 2022. On Good Guys, Soffer teased the big news before Peck confirmed the third baby’s debut, crediting O’Brien for doing the heavy lifting yet again. Peck recalled how, in the operating room, the doctors asked him to announce the baby’s sex. “They pull down the curtain, they go, what is it, Dad? I go, it’s a boy. I’m like, oh my God. Three boys.”

Baby Meyer Lane made quite the entrance—his umbilical cord was tied “in a full knot, a perfect knot, a sailor’s knot,” Peck marveled, adding that the newborn instantly earned the family nickname “little Meyer lemon.” A few minutes later, Peck inspected the stats —“baby Meyer, seven pounds, seven ounces, our perfect little boy-chick”—before sending the first photos to friends.

What Good Guys revealed about O’Brien’s delivery

Peck shared every detail, from pacing Cedars-Sinai’s halls to rack up “4,000 steps in between Paige getting prepared for [the] C-section”, to negotiating a hospital and home schedule so he could tuck Max and Shai in each night. “If you allow me to go home for five hours and see the kids and sleep at home, I will give you an amazing nineteen hours,” he told O’Brien, who “couldn’t have been better about it.”

That partnership mindset has defined their marriage from the very beginning. O’Brien, for her part, pre-packed gift bags for every delivery room nurse—energy drinks, electrolyte packets, the works—while Peck strutted the ward with Meyer in his rolling bassinet.

Life behind the lens

While Peck’s face is everywhere, O’Brien prefers a life behind the camera. Beyond her early cinematography credits, she dabbles in design. In 2021, she launched a limited-edition gold signet ring in collaboration with Creativeware, Peck taking on the role of enthusiastic hand model. Her Instagram is a gallery of tasteful home renovation updates, quiet beach snaps, and candid moments with Peck.

The Los Angeles-based creative also nurtures a tight friendship circle that includes Peck’s Drake & Josh co-star Miranda Cosgrove, who once called O’Brien “the best.” When she’s not juggling three boys under seven, O’Brien’s feed shows globe-trotting adventures through Mexico, Italy, and Vancouver.

Paige O’Brien is his rock

Peck has spoken openly about his teen struggles with weight and addiction, crediting marriage and fatherhood for his stability. In his memoir, he reflects, “Getting married and having a kid forces you to level up emotionally.” Friends hear the same sentiment. On Good Guys, Peck admitted that during Meyer’s birth, he started “[complaining] with the anesthesiologist,” only for O’Brien to remind him, “I’m still being closed up here.” Even medicated and mid-surgery, she still keeps him grounded.

Over 50 & Flourishing
Welcome to Over 50 & Flourishing, the show for any woman who feels like she lost her compass in the sea of midlife. I’m here to tell you it’s never too late to change your course and awaken the healthy, wise, and wonderful woman within. My name is Dominique Sachse, and I love to ask questions, which was why I spent nearly three decades of my life in the TV news business. I also started a YouTube channel in 2014 to connect intimately with my community, and I took an even deeper dive in my book Life Makeover - Embrace The Bold, Beautiful and Blessed You. I’ll be the first to say, I’ve made mistakes, and I’m not afraid to be vulnerable and learn from them. I mean let’s face it, this stage of life can be complicated. Children are moving out, relationships are being examined, our parents are aging, and we’re having to manage all of this along with our menopause! It’s easy to lose sight of ourselves, but can I just say.. we matter. So, whether it’s finding ways to enhance and celebrate our own beauty, taking bold steps toward living our best life in the second half of life, finding ways to be healthier, happier, and more spiritually connected, I will bring you thinkers and innovators who share the same passion of flushing out these ideas. It’s my goal to leave us all feeling inspired, thought and intent-driven, and with a sense of purpose in whatever we pursue. Let’s celebrate growing older together and embrace our Prime. It’s our time!
