If there’s one thing about Khloé Kardashian, she never shies away from keeping it real. On the latest episode of Khloé in Wonder Land, she sat down with none other than the “Disso Queen” herself, Laura Wasser—Hollywood’s go-to divorce attorney who has seen it all when it comes to high-profile breakups. But this episode wasn’t just about breakups. It was about love, resilience, and—according to Khloé—doing it “for love.”
Wasser might be known for making divorces run as smoothly as a luxury car on an open road, but she made it crystal clear that she’s no “divorce monger.” She’s been the voice of reason behind the scenes for many of Khloé’s relationship struggles—urging her (and her sisters) to explore every possible resolution before heading to court.
“I still believe in love. I just believe that there’s dicks out there,” Khloé said with unfiltered honesty.
Wasser nodded in agreement. “By the time they [her clients] come to me, they’re already getting divorced. I’m not pushing people into it. If anything, I try to keep them out of court.”
One of the most jaw-dropping moments of the interview came when Khloé and Wasser rehashed what went down when Lamar Odom fell into a coma in 2015. Khloé had been trying to finalize her divorce for nearly two years when, suddenly, her estranged husband’s life was hanging in the balance. That’s when Wasser sprang into action, proving she’s not just a legal bulldog—she’s also got a soft side.
Khloé recalled the frantic moment she called Wasser: “Lamar’s in a coma. We need to stop the paperwork.”
“I literally flew down to the courthouse,” Wasser admitted. “I was wearing something totally inappropriate, and I begged the clerk to pull the judgment back. She looked at me like I was crazy, but then I said, ‘Do it for love.’”
And in the kind of rom-com moment only Khloé Kardashian’s life can provide, the clerk actually did it. “To this day,” Wasser laughed, “whenever she sees me, she just says, ‘For love.’”
It wouldn’t be a Khloé in Wonder Land episode without some hard-earned wisdom. Khloé admitted that when she married Lamar, she had no clue what a prenup even was.
“I was offended at first,” she said. “But then, when I actually understood it, I was like, ‘Oh, wait—this actually protects both of us.’”
Wasser, now involved with Hello Prenup and Divorce.com, emphasized that prenups aren’t about planning for failure. They’re about ensuring both people are clear on their financial futures. “If you can’t have conversations about money before marriage, you shouldn’t be getting married,” she stated matter-of-factly.
Khloé agreed, adding, “People think prenups are all about ‘gimme, gimme,’ but they’re really about making sure everyone’s protected no matter what happens.”
Despite the ups and downs in her relationships, Khloé remains committed to keeping things peaceful for her kids. “I have times with Tristan where I want to murder him, but my children would never know that,” she admitted, proving that even when your ex has been publicly messy, there’s a way to keep things civil.
Wasser, who has navigated countless tricky co-parenting cases, reinforced that sentiment. “You and your family get it. You know that co-parenting isn’t about you—it’s about making sure your kids see two people who can coexist in a healthy way.”
Khloé, nodding in agreement, reminisced about how her own parents set the gold standard. “Even if my mom and dad weren’t getting along, we never knew it. That’s what being an adult is.”
Of course, no conversation with Khloé is complete without a little humor. While discussing Wasser’s signature courtroom style, the conversation took a hilarious turn.
“I don’t dress or work out so people will take pictures of me,” Wasser quipped. “I do it because I hope I’m going to get laid.”
Khloé burst out laughing: “Listen, I work out because someone’s gonna see me naked one day, and it has to look good.”
Despite representing some of Hollywood’s messiest breakups, Wasser ended on a hopeful note. “People think I love divorce, but I actually love love. I just also believe in protecting yourself.”
Khloé, ever the realist, summed it up best: “Love is great, but let’s be real—there’s dicks out there.”
If this episode proved anything, it’s this: love is complicated, but navigating it with honesty, humor, and a killer legal team can make all the difference. And if nothing else, at least we’ll always have “for love.”
