Listen, we have wondered for a really long time: When the Kardashians go on vacation—or even just to dinner—who is sending out the Venmo request? How are they breaking down who pays for what? Finally, we have some answers, thanks to our favorite sister duo on The World’s First Podcast (new on Dear Media this week!).
“Whoever books the trip,” Kim Kardashian explains casually about her family’s vacation planning, speaking to Sara and Erin Foster on their podcast. “We don’t split it.” Okay, that’s actually so… reasonable?
“Khloe will say, ‘Hey, I booked the trip for True’s birthday party. Who wants to come?’ And so whoever responds first… we’ll get rooms, but she’s already paid for it,” Kim shares.
The Kardashians, they’re just like us—coordinating in the family group text, but with higher stakes. This blend of the extraordinary and ordinary defines much of Kim’s current life, as she shares with the Fosters. In their conversation, they break down exactly how they’re all related (something about Brody Jenner), swap stories about growing up in LA, and reminisce about going to high school with each other. “ I always felt like the dressed up one, like always a bit insecure, always being the most dressed up in like high school, wherever we went,” shares Kim.
These days, Kim might (heavy on the might) be a little more low-key. Take her morning routine: She’s up at 6 a.m., and “there’s always one or two kids in my bed.” There’s a complex vitamin regimen (“I take like so many supplements”), and there’s someone who comes to prepare a “buffet style” breakfast spread with “eggs and bacon” and “fresh juices.”
She can’t eat breakfast herself because “I’m always doing hair and brushing and finding a backpack.” And she insists on handling school drop-offs. “That’s like just in my contracts,” she says. “No matter work, like I have to take my kids to school… it’s the morning madness. I love it. It’s amazing.” Ready in the car for her is always “a protein smoothie” and hot tea: “English breakfast tea with milk and honey” because she doesn’t drink coffee.
At 44, she’s surprisingly candid about what might come next. When Sara Foster predicts she’ll meet the love of her life in 2025, Kim reveals she wants “two more babies,” though she’d need a surrogate due to her “placenta accreta issue.” Her criteria for a future partner are both practical (“They have to really understand my life and be okay with that”) and universal: “You have to be with someone long enough to have like a real big huge fight and to see how they act when they don’t get what they want.”
Between managing multiple businesses—she’s about to open a Skims store on Fifth Avenue, where she’s “picking the hangers, like every last detail”—raising four kids, studying for the bar exam, and trying her hand at acting, Kim sums it up best: “I love a big life.” Kim Kardashian—just like the rest of us!
