When Scheana Shay talks, we listen. And, lucky for us, she dives into some big news this week on the latest episode of Scheananigans. Scheana sat down with Everything Iconic host and New York Times bestselling author Danny Pellegrino to chat about everything from The Masked Singer to the latest Bravo drama. Yes, it was a ride.
For weeks, fans speculated that Scheana was behind the adorable Bat costume on The Masked Singer. And despite her best efforts to keep it under wraps, viewers guessed right. “It was a shock. We don’t know who’s going home,” Scheana admitted, recalling the moment Nick Cannon announced her elimination. “I genuinely felt like I had at least one more in me.” (And so did we, girl. Robbed!)
You must be new here if you thought she would just gracefully exit stage left. The reveal itself was an ordeal. “I had a bicycle helmet on that was cranked all the way tight. I couldn’t have taken it off myself,” she shared. Cue the Men in Black-style handlers swooping in to help. And because this is Scheana, she was fighting back tears—but not because she lost: “I was just thinking about my daughter the entire time. I hope I made her proud.”
Despite the premature exit, Scheana’s Masked Singer journey wasn’t for nothing. If anything, it was her redemption arc. Let’s not forget the Good as Gold era when Bravo (allegedly) did her dirty with that raw mic audio. But this time? No shady editing. No Vanderpump-style mockery. Just Scheana, in a full-on bat suit, living her pop star dreams. “They were like, look, it’s not a singing competition. We’re not out to make fun of you. It’s a guessing game, it’s fun, it’s lighthearted,” she said. And for once, reality TV actually delivered on that promise.
Beyond the Masked Singer antics, Scheana and Danny dived into Bravo’s latest drama, including the never-ending Vanderpump Rules fallout and all the mess happening on The Valley. (Yes, we’re still talking about Scandoval. No, we’re not over it.) Turns out, some people are still struggling to let go of the past—specifically, Tom Sandoval and that damn house. “Move out of the house! Sell the house!” Scheana exclaimed. “It’s been two years!” And yet, there he remains, haunting the halls like a ghost of Bravo past.
And because Bravo is nothing if not a machine built on alliances and feuds, the Southern Charm/Summer House crossover drama naturally made its way into the chat. When asked about Craig Conover’s refusal to squash rumors about Paige DeSorbo, Scheana didn’t hold back. “The thing is, I have co-stars and have done the same thing. They say they don’t want to comment on stuff, but then it takes two seconds to post the thing!” (Scheana makes a valid point. If you can like a shady meme, you can shut down a rumor.)
Aside from Bravo battles, Scheana has her sights set on the future. And by future, we mean Traitors. “I’m manifesting that so hardcore,” she said of the Peacock competition show. Because let’s be real—Scheana scheming in an old Scottish castle with the queen of all shady queens, Alan Cumming? Television gold.
And then there’s Pizza Girl. (If you know, you know.) With the Jonas Brothers filming a Christmas movie, Danny floated the idea of reviving Scheana’s legendary Jonascameo. “I think there is a comeback for Pizza Girl in the future,” she teased. We’ll take that as confirmation.
With her book on the way, her Masked Singer moment cemented in pop culture history, and her Bravo presence still strong, the Sheanaissance is officially in full swing. Whether she’s belting out a ballad in a bat suit, navigating the latest reality TV betrayals, or plotting a Pizza Girl comeback, one thing is clear: She’s just getting started.
So, who’s ready for her next era? Because we know she is.
