If you thought MomTok was already teetering on the edge of a caffeine-fueled collapse thanks to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, buckle up—because Whitney Leavitt just showed up with a Stanley Cup full of sparkling water and sugar-free puree. And her appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast might just be the final nail in the coffin.

Host Amanda Hirsch sits down with Leavitt to discuss everything from postpartum chaos to ketamine therapy—and of course, all the behind-the-scenes drama from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

She filmed three days after giving birth

Leavitt filmed The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 2 just three days after giving birth. “It was three days,” she confirms. “Bro, I don’t even know. Lots of caffeine. I’m a caffeine addict.” Between breastfeeding, pumping, and still wearing postpartum diapers, she powered through on vibes and Diet Dr. Pepper alone.

The emotional aftermath, however, included being publicly rejected by the MomTok girl gang. “That was like a half ass vote,” she admits. “It sucked. I don’t really know how to take that.”

The Whitney versus Mikayla is beyond repair

For anyone still hoping for a reconciliation between Leavitt and Mikayla Matthews, don’t hold your breath. “Before we even filmed the show, me, Macy, Mikayla were so close,” she says. “She really doesn’t wanna be friends again. And that’s okay because I don’t either,” Leavitt shares about where she and Matthews stand now.

Leavitt believes she became Matthew’s “punching bag” amid personal turmoil. “I think it was just a lot of other things,” she adds. “What she did was completely unwarranted.”

That infamous vote on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives

If you’ve watched the second season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, you already know about the cringeworthy group vote to let Leavitt back into the fold. According to her, it wasn’t even supposed to be real. “I said that as a joke, then everyone took it seriously. So I’m voting to ban the vote,” she snarks.

When Hirsch asked why newbie Miranda McWhorter wasn’t even part of the vote, Leavitt deadpanned, “Guess we’ll find out.”

Taylor vs. Demi—and where Whitney stands now

As season two of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives unfolds, alliances shift faster than TikTok trends. But Leavitt? She’s Team Demi, all the way.

“She’s my girl. I love her,” she says of Demi Engemann. “People have to understand: If there’s a camera following you around and they’re only showing your worst moments, obviously you’re gonna be the bad guy.”

Leavitt also hints that Engemann isn’t the only one who had issues with Jessi Ngatikaura’s alleged behind-the-scenes power plays: “There were other women involved. It wasn’t just Demi.”

The Taylor hierarchy: “She’s the star, not the leader”

One of the more revealing moments in the podcast was Leavitt’s take on Taylor Frankie Paul’s place in the group dynamic. “There is a difference between the star of the show—which is Taylor, it’s obviously Taylor—and the leader. Taylor’s not the leader of MomTok,” she said, admitting that Paul may be the star of the show but not the one running things when the cameras are off.

So, who is the leader? According to Leavitt, “I feel like me and Jessi probably do it the most,” she opines, referring to all the “get-togethers” and other MomTok to-dos.

The ketamine confession and soft-swinging rumors

It wouldn’t be The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives without some mind-bending headlines. Yes, Leavitt did try ketamine therapy—and hated it. “Very dark. I’ll never do it again,” she says.

And when asked how the original “soft swinging” scandal impacts her, Leavitt made clear that it was all about the clicks. “I got a lot of views on my social, so that’s great,” she admits. “They were watching to see whether I was gonna come out as a swinger.”

What’s next for Whitney Leavitt?

Don’t expect Leavitt to disappear anytime soon. “I would love to do Traitors, House of Villains, and Dancing with the Stars—top three, absolutely,”  she says, adding that she absolutely plays a part in manifesting the chaos. “Anything to get attention—I was there.”

We’re all in our Secret Lives of Mormon Wives era

Season 3 is already filming, and Leavitt promises it’s “so different…even more of breaking the wall.” If you thought The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was chaotic before, just wait. Emotional baptisms, influencer betrayal, ketamine therapy, and passive-aggression are just the beginning.

Over 50 & Flourishing
Welcome to Over 50 & Flourishing, the show for any woman who feels like she lost her compass in the sea of midlife. I’m here to tell you it’s never too late to change your course and awaken the healthy, wise, and wonderful woman within. My name is Dominique Sachse, and I love to ask questions, which was why I spent nearly three decades of my life in the TV news business. I also started a YouTube channel in 2014 to connect intimately with my community, and I took an even deeper dive in my book Life Makeover - Embrace The Bold, Beautiful and Blessed You. I’ll be the first to say, I’ve made mistakes, and I’m not afraid to be vulnerable and learn from them. I mean let’s face it, this stage of life can be complicated. Children are moving out, relationships are being examined, our parents are aging, and we’re having to manage all of this along with our menopause! It’s easy to lose sight of ourselves, but can I just say.. we matter. So, whether it’s finding ways to enhance and celebrate our own beauty, taking bold steps toward living our best life in the second half of life, finding ways to be healthier, happier, and more spiritually connected, I will bring you thinkers and innovators who share the same passion of flushing out these ideas. It’s my goal to leave us all feeling inspired, thought and intent-driven, and with a sense of purpose in whatever we pursue. Let’s celebrate growing older together and embrace our Prime. It’s our time!
