Twenty years after her Laguna Beach debut, Kristin Cavallari is back—and she’s not interested in manufactured drama anymore. Her new E! docuseries, Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour follows Cavallari on a four-city podcast tour, confronting every juicy rumor surrounding her life.
Among these rumors are headlines like: Did Cavallari hook up with Glen Powell? What was the NSFW moment with Harry Jowsey? What really happened with her and Craig Conover? The show just debuted June 4 on E! and Bravo, and will soon be streaming on Peacock—so you can get all the tea on demand.
“I know I have said I would not go back to reality TV 5,000 times,” Cavallari explains on a recent episode of Let’s Be Honest. This is different because this is not just a show about my personal life. I’m not dating on the show. It’s not trying to come up with drama for storylines. This is truly a docuseries in the best sense of the word where they are really just documenting this journey.”
After five years away from reality television, Cavallari’s is back on her own terms. She filmed the entire series over two weeks while on her four-city podcast tour in Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, and New York. Unlike her previous stints on Laguna Beach, The Hills, and Very Cavallari, the compressed timeline eliminated “forced” storylines in favor of a genuine documentary rather than a heavily produced or controlled approach to the docuseries.
One of the most notable differences with this new show is that her three kids—Camden, Jaxen, and Saylor—appear on camera, which she’s never done before. “I just wanted them to be old enough to make the decision that they wanted their lives out there,” she explains in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “Reality TV has been such a big part of my life for over 20 years now. To be able to share that experience with them was really special.”
She admits Camden’s enthusiasm for the spotlight makes her nervous. All three kids were recently featured on an episode of Let’s Be Honest where they shared their honest thoughts about what it was like filming the TV show.
The docuseries thrives when Cavallari dissects the messier aspects of her dating life. Her relationship with Southern Charm star Craig Conover gets particular attention, especially the timeline overlap to his relationship with Paige DeSorbo from Summer House.
“We became romantic for two seconds,” Cavallari explained during a Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen appearance. “The second I caught wind of Paige, I very politely excused myself from the situation.”
Cavallari promises that she and Conover get into it on her podcast tour, where she grills him about his previous relationship.
Remember the iconic Lauren-Conrad-Kristin-Cavallari-Stephen-Colletti love triangle?
“I was already in a love triangle in high school. I’m good for the rest of my life. I’m never going to be in another one,” she says. But don’t worry, the group cleared up the drama years ago on an episode of Back to the Beach.
Speaking of Laguna Beach, Cavallari invited several of her former co-stars to join her on tour and the second episode of Honestly Cavallari—Jason Wahler, Talan Torriero, Jessica Smith, Alex M., and Alex H.—for what she calls a “high school reunion” episode.
“Our high school experience was so unique. This was the first teen reality show. We had nothing to look to. But we were all friends before fame ever happened,” Cavallari explains on the episode. “Because they have known me pre-craziness, I trust them. I really feel like myself with them.”
Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour airs every Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on E! with episodes streaming on Peacock starting June 11, a week after its original air date. For even more behind-the-scenes content, tune into Let’s Be Honest starting June 12 for bonus episodes about what didn’t make it into the televised version—which, knowing Cavallari, probably means the good stuff.
