When Southern Charm OG Shep Rose speaks, you listen. Not because he’s particularly filtered (he’s definitely not), but because this man has spent the last 12 years turning his real-life disasters into Bravo gold. And on Not Skinny But Not Fat, Shep reveals gossip hotter than a Charleston summer—and for this cast, that’s saying something.
Remember Sienna, Shep’s gorgeous Bahamian flame? Yeah, that romance went down in flames—and we finally got the real timeline. So, as fans may remember, Shep fell for her, hard, and she dismissed his feelings with a thud on the March 6 episode. Where, exactly, do you go after someone drops the bombshell, “but we weren’t even in a relationship!”
As it turns out, they weren’t just casually “hanging out” like she portrayed on the show. “Like six long weekends over a six-month period,” Shep clarified. “I met her mom, her sister… we had a grand old time.”
So why exactly did she go on acting like he was a stage-5 clinger on national TV? “You look crazy in those episodes, professing love,” Amanda says. “Which you’re saying that wasn’t the case.”
And Shep? “It feels like something. I don’t do that a lot.”
After the meet-the-parents, boat rides, and Palm Beach, Sienna “met someone else” and dropped Shep like a bad habit. “She just posted it on TikTok,” he says. “I kind of sent her a text like… I guess I had to find this out somehow.” Her excuse? She felt like a “storyline.” His response? “There was no negative or nefarious intentions on my part. Are you crazy?”
Shep has a thing for sharks and apparently likes gifting his girlfriends’ shark teeth. “What girl wouldn’t want a great white shark’s tooth necklace?” he asked sincerely.
Amanda, speaking for all women with taste: “Girl, what?”
And yes, he gave one to Taylor and Sienna. Different sharks, same Shep.
Taylor, his former long-time girlfriend, showed up on the cast trip—and while she appeared composed on screen, there was some major drama that didn’t make the cut. Because, of course, she was a mess. “There was a big argument that didn’t get aired… between Salley and Taylor,” Shep spills. “I’m okay with that not making it. Frankly.”
In a move no one saw coming, Shep is now a published author (again)—and his new book is all about… doing ayahuasca in Costa Rica. “I wrote down in my journal, ‘Why must I always lick the jar?’” he shares. It’s very Eat, Pray, Love, if Elizabeth Gilbert were a frat boy from Charleston. Seems like a great summer beach read TBH!
