Taylor Strecker and her wife, Taylor Donahue (aka Taylor Squared), were guests at Vanderpump Villa during Stassi Schroeder’s birthday trip. It was summer in the south of France, which sounds glamorous until you realize there’s no air conditioning and everything is gold-themed. “It’s kind of like Below Deck meets The Real Housewives of Tuscany,” Strecker quipped.

One thing viewers didn’t see? Strecker’s signature nervous tic—what she lovingly calls “the blinkies.” “I was watching through my fingers,” she admitted on the podcast. “My number one fear was, do I look ugly? Number two, are the blinkies raging?” Her mom quickly reassured her: “They weren’t at all.” The likely hero? “Botox,” Strecker laughed.

As for how much she had to drink while filming, Strecker came clean: “I had like a gazillion Aperol Spritzes.” But apparently, she held it together just fine. “You didn’t seem drunk at all,” her mom said. “So I can hold my liquor, and I don’t blink on camera. That’s a win,” Strecker replied.

Fans who were hoping for more Strecker on screen weren’t alone. “So proud. So not enough of you, of course,” her mom said, fully channeling every mother watching her kid on reality TV. But for Strecker, that might’ve been for the best. “I’m excited to watch… from behind a pillow. With tequila,” she said.

How Taylor Strecker got cast on Vanderpump Villa

This isn’t Strecker’s first time spilling the tea about filming. Last month, she shared the casting journey on a previous episode of Taste of Taylor. Strecker said she was invited by her close friend (and returning guest) Stassi Schroeder to be part of the villa festivities. But she didn’t know they’d be stepping into a full-blown production. “I didn’t know if I was supposed to be acting or just drinking,” she joked. 

She also hinted that reality TV is not nearly as glamorous as it looks. “You are sweaty, dehydrated, in full glam, and pretending like your bathing suit isn’t riding up your soul,” she said. 

The moment that didn’t make air—but should’ve

One Vanderpump Villa spoiler that never aired? Strecker revealed she had a diva moment over her room. “I pulled a full-on Ramona Singer,” she said. “Walked in, looked around, and said, ‘This is unacceptable.’” Whether or not that moment ends up on a blooper reel remains to be seen, but Lisa Vanderpump would probably approve of the dramatics.

Real marriage, reality mess

Despite the heatstroke, the blinking paranoia, and the 500 Aperol spritzes, Strecker and Donahue seem to have made it through their Vanderpump Villa experience stronger than ever. “It’s like reality TV therapy,” Strecker mused. “Except you’re not getting paid and everyone’s judging your outfits.”

So what’s next for  Strecker? More podcasts, more chaos, and probably a few more Canal Street shopping sprees (sorry, Tay Donahue). But for now, we’re just thankful she gave us the Vanderpump Villa spoilers we didn’t know we needed.
