Brooks Nader Tells All on ‘Not Skinny But Not Fat’: From ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Drama to Cheating Allegations
Bernadette Giacomazzo
Brooks Nader is no stranger to the spotlight. From gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated to taking on the ballroom in Dancing With the Stars, the model and reality star has built a career on confidence, beauty, and unfiltered charm. But on Amanda Hirsch’s Not Skinny But Not Fat, Nader’s ready to bare the messiest parts of her personal life.
The interview dives into her whirlwind year: a divorce, the launch of her new Freeform/Hulu reality series Love Thy Nader, and the very public implosion of her relationship with professional dancer Gleb Savchenko. Between TikTok wars and cheating allegations, Nader holds nothing back.
Nader admits the chaos started long before cameras rolled, and the timing couldn’t have been more dramatic. “We wrapped filming at the end of June, and it’s August, and it’s out, so I had to come back,” she explains of the fast turnaround. With everything happening in real time—including a partner who was “fully, like, in on it” as part of the cast—viewers are getting a front row seat to her relationship unraveling on screen.

The TikTok wars
One of the most eyebrow-raising revelations from Nader’s sit-down with Hirsch is how her romance implosion with Savchenko spilled onto TikTok. What began as a breakup quickly devolved into a petty social media back-and-forth that left fans both entertained and confused.
“We got into a TikTok war,” Brooks Nader recalls. “That was pre-cheating…he was squatting at my place. I don’t know why he got freaked out and [acted like] I had an attitude with him or something like that happened.” Instead of dwelling, she threw herself back into the Los Angeles scene with her friends. But as Savchenko continued posting “mean TikToks,” Nader eventually clapped back. “I did mean ones back. That was all real. Like, we were not speaking,” she says.
The cheating scandal
While the TikTok battles were embarrassing enough, Nader reveals that the real fracture came when she discovered her partner’s infidelity. “Everything had already happened, the cheating, whatever. And I had tried to get over it. And then you have to bring it up in interviews. And so then I would get re-emotional, and I would cry, whatever,” she admits to Hirsch.
The cheating wasn’t just devastating—it was messy. According to Nader, her sisters even confronted her with receipts pulled directly from his phone during filming. It made for gripping reality TV, but for her, it was a brutal reminder of what she had to endure in real time.
Red flags were ignored
Looking back, Nader acknowledges there were warning signs all along, admitting Savchenko showed no “red flags.” Her own family wasn’t shy about pointing them out, though. “My dad was like, ‘So he has children that are like 15 years old, and he is in his mid-forties. Why does he even have the app?’” she recalls. “And I was like, ‘Daddy. Like, I don’t know. Like, he’s a dancer.’”
Even her friends in the industry warned her. Nader shares that fellow dancer Artem Chigvintsev’s ex, Nikki Bella, tried to signal that trouble was ahead. “She told me, ‘I wanted to warn you about this, because Gleb and Artem are best friends,’” Nader explains. “She’s like, it’s the whole thing. He’s always wanted somebody rich and famous.”
Turning pain into reality TV gold
Despite all the heartbreak, Nader believes the experience has shaped her and, in some ways, contributed to the success of Love Thy Nader. “At the end of the day, a hard learning lesson. But you know, an experience that made for a great show,” she says.
The drama may have been raw and painful, but it’s also the kind of realness fans crave from reality TV. And Nader’s willingness to laugh at herself—even while acknowledging the hurt—makes her even more relatable.
What’s next for Brooks Nader?
Despite the scandal, Nader isn’t letting heartbreak define her future. With Love Thy Nader now streaming on Freeform and Hulu, she’s cementing herself as not just a model but a reality star with a story worth watching.
Whether she finds romance again or not, one thing is sure: Nader knows how to own her narrative. And she reminded listeners that behind the glam and the headlines is a woman who’s unafraid to keep it real—even when the truth is messy.
