Katie’s IVF Journey: Q&A + Megan Roup, Founder of The Sculpt Society, Talks Fertility Fitness Program

In this two-part episode, Katie begins the episode with her incredibly personal story of her IVF experience, sharing her struggles before conceiving her daughter, Iris. She shares all the details, and discusses the ups and the downs, as well as how she stayed strong and what inspired her strength during this difficult time.

In the second half of the episode, Katie interviews celebrity fitness trainer, Megan Roup. Megan and Katie met several years ago, Megan is the creator of the online fitness studio, The Sculpt Society. She was inspired to create her platform after she sensed a need for women to have workouts that are both approachable and easy to do at home, without the feeling of being cutthroat or exclusive 

Megan discusses her new fertility workout series that specializes in creating a fitness routine for every stage of the fertility and IVF process. Both Katie and Megan remark on how important it is to be able to still move your body during these times, both for mental health and physical wellbeing. Megan has developed this program closely with a known fertility doctor as well as maternal psychiatrist to make sure every routine is built around support and community during this time in a woman’s life.

Megan is a firm believer in the motto “Commit to less, so you can be show up for more.” Even if you just workout for 10 minutes a day, it’s something to help you clear your mind and give your body the energy to start off on the right note.

Sarah provides insightful advice about how to overcome such a difficult time through therapy and upport. She describes how she was able to recover and go on to have a second child seven years later, which was a truly positive experience.

 

When it comes to food and cooking, Sarah is a natural. She tells the incredible story of her mom, a sex crimes lawyer turned James Beard Award-nominated farm-to-table restaurateur. As a Midwesterner, Sarah especially loves potatoes, specifically a loaded baked potato, and gives her opinion of the best. 


 Sarah is a longtime resident of New York City, and she’s an expert when it comes to dining in the city. She gives us her ideal food day in the city, from croissants and roast chicken at Raf’s, to seafood towers at Balthazar, and 3- star Michelin meals at Per Se.

Antoni Porowski on Sunday Cheat Days, the Country’s Fanciest Rest Stop, His Journey to Fame on Queer Eye, and His New Show No Taste Like Home
