Let’s get into it!

How Do You Find Trending Audio On Instagram?

Check out the Instagram trending audio list.

If you’ve got a business Insta, finding trending songs and audio on Instagram is a piece of cake! And, if you don’t have a business Instagram account… what are you waiting for, bestie?!

Turning your Instagram into a business account gives you access to lots of cool features, like engagement insights, filtered messages, and the crème de la crème of influencer tools: the Instagram trending audio list.

To access the trending audio list, just go to your profile in the app, tap Professional dashboard, and select trending audio.

If you want to stick with your personal account, you can still find the list of popular Instagram reels trends. Simply go to your reels explore page and find a reel with a next to the audio track name at the bottom. Tap the audio button, which will take you to that reel audio’s page. Then, at the top, tap Trending.

Scroll, baby, scroll.

Obviously we’re not going to encourage the endless, mindless scroll you’ve still got to get your hot girl walks in, and you definitely can’t let the scrolling ruin your productivity. You want to navigate social media in a healthy way, of course. But, a little scrolling is actually part of the job when it comes to content creation!

Scrolling is a good way to see trending reels, especially in your niche. While the trending audio list might show you what all of Instagram wants to see, your reels explore page will show you what your kind of account is using for audio, giving you all the inspo you need for your next viral reel.

Remember, you want to grow your following with authenticity, so using some of the non-trending audios that fits your brand better is the way to go!

Learn from the @Creators account.

The best tips on how to boost your engagement come from the source. Lucky for us, Instagram’s made it easy to get those tips. Just head over to the @Creators account on Instagram to get tips for reels, learn more about the algorithm, and get a current trend report.

The search bar is your new bestie.

You can definitely get some weird content when you’re venturing outside of your little niche, but using manual search is a good way to get fresh ideas from beyond your feed.

Just tap the little magnifying glass at the bottom of your screen, then type something like “trending sounds” in the search bar. You can add more details if you know what kind of video you’d like to post, like “fashion” or “fitness.”

ways to find trending audio on instagram

You can have a little TikTok. As a treat.

Maybe you’ve already been using both platforms for your brand, or maybe you’ve got your heart dead-set on using IG ONLY. Either way we have to tell you that sneaking a peek at what’s trending on TikTok will only benefit you. If it’s popular there, there’s a good chance it’ll resonate on Instagram as well.

Pluuuuuuuuus, if you adapt your reels for TikTok, you can boost your engagement through that avenue, too!

In order to find trending songs and sounds on TikTok, you can utilize the Creative Center, the search bar, or TikTok’s playlists, which are personally curated for you. To find them, click the + at the bottom of your screen, tap the music note on the right side, and boom! A beautiful list of sounds just for you. Just listen and search for any of the ones you like on Instagram!

Sneak a peek at Meta’s Sound Collection.

Copyright concerns can make creating reels really tricky, but lucky for us, Meta has a collection of thousands of sounds and audios that are totally free to use. The system is used best on a desktop computer, but the system is totally worth that extra effort. It’s super user-friendly, with lots of search filters available! Once you’ve found what you like, just save the audio to your account.

Of course, any time you’re making a reel or any other content, you want to make sure to stay true to your brand DNA. Meta has a great collection of sounds, but they won’t all be for everyone! The top Instagram brands know their own DNA and they know their audience. They stay true to their values and that authenticity brings the high level of engagement you’re looking for.

Follow Instagram accounts that post current trends.

The @Creators account isn’t the only account that can keep you in the loop on the latest trends. In fact, there are plenty of accounts (like @reelstips) that post reels with the best content inspo out there you’ve just got to find the account that’s right for you!

Use an Instagram Reels Template.

Reels Templates lets you quickly copy the clip timings of an existing reel. All you have to do is drop your own photos or videos into a template, and BOOM! You’ve made a killer reel.

To use templates, you can either tap Use Template on a reel you like, or you can get to the Reels Templates page through the Video Editor. Just tap the Reels tab, then the Camera icon in the top right. After that, you’ll be able to slide to the Templates tab in the Video Editor. When you find one you like, simply hit Use Template and add your own content.

What Are Words Of Affirmation?

But, if you have a woman in your life who LOVES to be complimented, they probably have the love language “words of affirmation.” This means they receive love through words!

If you want more on this, definitely look into Gary Chapman’s five love languages! He basically breaks down that everyone falls mostly into one category in terms of how they receive love. The love languages are quality time, acts of service, physical touch, gifts, and, of course, words of encouragement. You can learn all about them in these podcast episodes:

Think you may know someone whose love language’s words of affirmation? Then you should do what you can to shower them with positive affirmations to help them feel loved! What To Say When Someone Talks Bad About You

People love to talk, and whether they have a reason or not, some people are bound to talk negatively about you. And, it’s not just rude, but it’s actually hurtful! We can try to pretend it doesn’t bother us, but the truth is that most of us feel confused, frustrated, and betrayed… so many emotions that we’d rather not feel. Whether it’s a stranger or your best friend, sometimes it feels like one of the worst things someone can do is talk bad about you.

Here’s the thing: you can’t control what others say about you, but you can decide how you respond. You have the power to choose how you react, including whether to react at all. If you’re not sure what to say when someone talks bad about you, we got you! Keep reading for some great ways to respond anytime someone talks smack.

What To Say When Someone Talks Bad About You

What To Say When Someone Talks Bad About You

Consider your source.

Before you start thinking about how to respond to the person who is supposedly talking bad about you, consider the person who shared the information with you. Do you trust them? Could they have some sort of ulterior motive?

Some people just love to stir up drama, often for their own entertainment. They could have twisted someone’s words to make them fit their own agenda or made the whole thing up.

Confront them.

If you think there’s any possibility they might have said it, confront them. Now, don’t be coming in hot and make things way worse. Be the bigger person and start just by asking a question. Something like, “Hey, I heard you said this about me, is that true?” Then, let them talk. Try to listen and hear them out. Once you have their side of things, decide your next steps.

Hopefully, it was a misunderstanding. But, if it wasn’t and they double-down on the sh*t talking, it might be a good time to get a couple other trusted friends involved and approach that person again. If they still DGF then it’s probably time to move on from that toxic friend. (Here’s more on saying no to toxic friendships from Mona Vand of Mona-Vated!)

Set some boundaries.

If you feel like the friendship can be salvaged, it’s time to set some boundaries. This isn’t just about what they specifically said, it’s the fact that they thought it was okay to talk sh*t at all. So, make it clear to them that you won’t have any of that in your friendship. If they want to keep you around, they come to you if they have a problem—PERIOD. Remember that you’re worth healthy friendships!

When you do set a boundary, hold to your end of things, too. Make sure that you’re not talking crap and ensure that you’re emotionally ready to handle things if a friend does come to you with a problem. For help with this, listen to the episode of Him & Her called How To Set Boundaries & Find Peace, A Guide To Reclaiming Yourself!

Lean on your support system.

Chances are, you have plenty of healthy people in your circle outside this potentially toxic friend. Lean on them to speak truth back into your life! If your so-called-friend straight-up lied about your or at least passed an inaccurate judgment, it’s seriously SO easy to believe whatever they said. You’ll be asking, Am I annoying? Do I come off needy? Am I really selfish? Do I actually dress that provocatively?

Even if you’re normally pretty confident, it’s easy for insecurities to swirl when someone you trusted shatters your view of yourself. So, lean on your friends to remind you of what’s true! And, hey, there might be some things you need to work on, but they’ll be right there to remind you of all your AMAZING qualities! (If you’re unsure who are your solid friends and who aren’t, learn about friendships red flags and green flags.)

Get a confidence boost from your honorary besties at Dear Media, too! We have a lot of great confidence boosting podcast episodes, but here are some of our recent faves:

Don’t respond.

Sometimes it’s best just to avoid justifying their actions with a response. They may be totally looking to rile you up! You can either decide to keep them as a friend and move on unbothered or to cut them out without discussion. You don’t owe them a response! It can honestly feel empowering to brush it off, deal with it on your own, and invest more in your healthy friendships.

That whole idea of becoming unbothered is kind of wild. We’re primed to really care what people think of us! Luckily, there is an entire Dear Media podcast dedicated to the empowering movement of literally not caring. It’s called Trying Not to Care and a great place to start is with the episode Learning to Become Unbothered

Remember what you know is true.

At the end of the day, you have to know who you are. If you have a strong sense of self, then what other people say can shake you down. When dealing with other women, rejection and judgment is sometimes inevitable (it’s one of the reasons girl friendships are SO hard!), but what others think of you doesn’t have to be your business. Their opinions don’t define you.

This process takes time, but if you’re ready to develop your self-worth and be the independent baddie you were born to be, listen to these women leaders and what they have to say about you and your self-worth through adversity:

List of things to do when someone talks bad about you.

People are going to talk bad about you, but you have the power to choose how you respond.

People talk bad about you sometimes. No matter what, it always hurts. However, the best way to handle it and grow as a person is to consider carefully how you respond. There is no sense stirring up drama like we’re in high school or on a reality show. Be an adult, respond wisely, and know you’re amazing by remembering all your great qualities and rocking this Good as Gold sweatshirt or this Celebrate Your Wins tee. Don’t let anyone get you down, guys!

What He Thinks When You Don’t Text Him

what he thinks when you don't text him

Texting is the best, right? Well… with the exception of those text message disasters, but we’ll leave that convo for Jaci Marie and Chelsey Jade on the What We Said podcast, because today we’re laser-focused on figuring out how to send the right message through your texts . . . or lack there of.

Texting is super convenient and makes communication easy-breezy. But, here’s the thing: a sudden no-contact period (AKA abruptly not texting back) can make your guy think A LOT of things. (Whether he be your boyfriend, FWB, or something else.)

Like they explain in this episode of We Met At Acme, men and women interpret texts differently. You need to know how your text etiquette affects your relationship, because it’s not just the winky frowny faces and the single word responses that create confusion. Not responding at all to your man’s texts can send their brains reeling in all directions!

So, today we’re dedicating this ENTIRE post to this VERY important topic: what the hell does a guy think when you don’t text him? Let’s dive in:

What He Thinks When You Don't Text Him

What He Thinks When You Don’t Text Him

“Are they upset with me?”

If he hasn’t heard from you, he might think you’re pissed off at him. When a guy suddenly gets the silent treatment, he often suspects it’s a punishment for something he did or didn’t do. This is especially the case if his unanswered text was sent after a fight or disagreement.

“Maybe they’re not interested anymore.”

As outlined in A Complete and Total Guide to All Dating Rules on another epic episode of We Met At Acme, there are situations where you shouldn’t text him. But, when you don’t respond to a casual text from a guy, it might make him think you’re not interested in him anymore. We get it. Who doesn’t feel a little insecure now and then? Especially when your heart is invested. Even the guy who acts uber-confident needs some validation, otherwise, they can start drawing conclusions.

Be sure to grab a The Rules Crew to spread the word about the rules. The We Met at Acme rules can seriously help you win the dating game. And, grab this tote to remind yourself never to text first after a date!

“Are they ghosting me?”

Ahh… ghosting. The buzzword we love to hate. Or is it hate to love? Because let’s be real. No one wants to be ghosted. When you suddenly stop texting him, he might think that’s exactly what’s happening.

BTW, if you actually are considering ghosting a guy, try an anti-ghost text instead. Not sure wtf an anti-ghost text is? Check out this episode of We Met At Acme.

“She’s probably just busy.”

Not all guys immediately react negatively when their girl doesn’t text them back. However, we all know the difference between “you must be busy” and “guess you’re too busy to text me back.” IYKYK.

The good ones, however, might assume you’re just busy doing something else and that you’ll text him when you’re free. It helps if you tell him about your plans ahead of time, although even then he might still forget.

What He Thinks When You Don't Text Him

“Should I text them again?”

He could be staring at his phone, waiting for those three dots to appear, thinking to himself, “I shouldn’t text her twice in a row without a response, right? Isn’t it, like, texting etiquette 101?” He might also start overthinking and trying to justify your silence like maybe the last text he sent didn’t elicit a response. In which case he’ll wonder if he should send a follow-up text.

“Is she OK?”

Depending on how long it’s been since he last heard from you, as well as how long the two of you had been talking before then, his first thought might be about your general well-being. Sweet, right? We all like that knight and shining armor vibe.

Nothing at all.

Listen, the male perspective is confusing, to say the least. We spend wayyy too much time trying to figure out what the hell is going on inside their head, yet often there is very little going on at all. This “nothingness” can go one of two ways. Either they’re amazingly easy-going and don’t think twice about you not texting them back because they’re secure enough not to worry about it, or they’re not thinking about it because they just don’t give a damn. If it’s the second one, he did you a favor, love.

sad man on his phone

A guy can think a lot of different things when you don’t text him, or he might not think about it at all.

There are plenty of logical reasons for not texting a guy. And, there are a ton of things he could think as a result, including nothing at all. You don’t have to explain yourself, nor do you have to go out of your way to make a guy feel validated and reassured. Text him, don’t text him. Text him all day long or only when you feel like it. As long as you’re aware of how it might affect your relationship, do what makes you f*cking happy!!!

Be sure to grab one (or all) of these awesome phone cases so you can text (or not) in style.
